If your having trouble joining as a member when your business is listed on PassPass it may be because your mobile phone number was used to register your business account.

When a business account is created, a user account is simultaneously created as the primary business owner. This email is the source of password resets, other critical account info. The phone number associated with this account should be the business phone number, not the user's mobile phone number whenever possible.

In order for the primary business account user to sign up as a Member, take the following steps --

  1. If user's personal mobile number is still attached to the business account, change it to something else in the business account. All two-factor-authentication for the business account will be done through email, so a mobile SMS number is not required.

  2. To then sign up the primary business user as a Member, take the following steps

    1. Scan the business QR code (do not download the app first)

    2. Register account via a new personal email and personal mobile number

    3. Complete checkout -- the Stripe Promo Code will auto-apply in Stripe checkout. An active promo code can be grabbed from the Partner Portal in the My Business section if this does not auto populate.

    4. Follow the link to then download the mobile app

Future releases of the App will make the Primary Business Account User a completely separate type of user, so we want to make sure that the current owner sign-up process is forward compatible with that architecture.
